Daylight Harvesting
Daylight Harvesting can dramatically reduce energy consumption and carbon footprint by using PIR presence detectors to recognise when a space is occupied (and unoccupied). When natural light entering the space from windows reaches a comfortable, configurable Lux level, the DLC100 Light Control Module with Daylight Harvesting will switch off the artificial light, switching it back on when the natural light drops below the configured level.
Presence Detection
The DLC100 Light Control Module with Daylight Harvesting also uses PIR presence detectors to automatically switch on the lights when an area becomes occupied and automatically switch them off again when the area becomes unoccupied. No switches are needed and this technique is ideal for large, open plan areas, corridors etc.
Absence Detection
Utilising a conventional wall switch working in conjunction with presence detectors the DLC100 Light Control Module with Daylight Harvesting can turn lights on and off as normal, but the presence detector will always ensure the light is never left on once the area is vacated. Great for offices and conference rooms.

Corridor Linking
Each DLC100 Light Control Module with Daylight Harvesting contains two status outputs for simple patching to the sensor inputs of a secondary DLC100 module creating a 'corridor hold'. If any light is on in a selected area then the corridor lights will also be on. Ideal for virtual corridors in open plan offices, so an occupant isn't left in an 'island of light' in an otherwise dark floor, and have a comforting corridor of light from their workstation to the exit.
