Ballasts Life Cycle and Maintenance in a Commercial Light Control Installation
The life expectancy of any electronic component can be difficult to calculate. HF ballasts in commercial light control installations are no exception. The lifetime is determined by all of the components used and the amount of stress (voltage, current and temperature) on each of these components. It can also be safely assumed that the first point of failure equals the ballast failure.
The Carbon Trust
Well first it was a long haul but finally it has come to fruition. Our goal was to make the ultimate Lighting Control Module. We chose KNX as the protocol as it is the worlds only standard applicable. We then added all the functionality that could be required ensuring nothing was missed.
Light+Build: Day 1
Well technically it is day 2 as we arrived yesterday on the last day of set up (amazingly it has been nearly 2 weeks since the first stands were started) and it was like an untidy building site. Over night all the packing and rubbish was cleared and the flooring laid – what an amazing transition! Hall 8 has the majority of KNX manufacturers as well as KNX themselves.
Light and Build
It is coming up to that time when we all pack our bags and go to Frankfurt. Jung have been extremely supportive of us and we can be found on thier stand in Hall 8.0 with a live working system. Just ask for us on the stand while you admire what I think are the finest looking KNX switches in the world, the perfect compliment to our KNX Lighting Control Module
