The purpose of Presence or Movement Detection is to ascertain when an area is either occupied or becomes unoccupied to control the environment. Different areas and applications require different techniques. What follows is a personal view of the author on the technology, implementation and application in a commercial light control environment.

Well first it was a long haul but finally it has come to fruition. Our goal was to make the ultimate Lighting Control Module. We chose KNX as the protocol as it is the worlds only standard applicable. We then added all the functionality that could be required ensuring nothing was missed.
